Report a problem or a wrong part: tell us your vehicle (year, make, model), what you were doing and what went wrong. A screenshot helps.

How do I sign in?
Enter your email and we'll send a 6-digit sign-in code, or tap Continue with Google (on the web and iPhone) or Apple (on iPhone). There's no password to remember. Sign in the same way on a new phone and your records come back.
Does it work without signal?
Yes, in the phone apps and in a browser tab that's already open. Everything you log is saved on the device first and syncs automatically when you're back online. Settings shows whether everything is saved to your account; the Garage shows a note while something is still waiting or you're offline. If the app closes while you're typing a service, fill-up, card or trip, it's offered back the next time you open that form (Restore or Discard).
How do I add a vehicle or equipment?
Tap Add to garage. For a car, truck, motorcycle or RV, take a photo of the VIN (the door-jamb sticker, the plate at the bottom of the windshield, or your registration or insurance card) or type the 17 characters. No VIN handy? Enter the year, make and model yourself. For a mower, boat, generator or other equipment, take a photo of its nameplate or model and serial sticker, or type the details. Equipment can count engine hours instead of miles.
How does scanning a receipt work?
Tap +, then Add photo (take one or pick one from your photos). Log service, Log fill-up and Add paperwork can read a photo too. The photo is read automatically and fills in the date, mileage, work and cost for you to check before saving; nothing is saved until you do. A photo of a logbook page with several visits becomes one entry per visit. You get 15 scans a month, and 10 more for you and each friend you invite (below). There's a daily limit too, smaller for brand-new accounts for their first days. Reading a VIN, an equipment nameplate or your odometer from a photo uses one too. A photo that can't be read doesn't count.
How do maintenance reminders work?
Choose what to track (oil, tire rotation, filters…). Solid Miles shows when each was last done. If you enter your own interval (for example from your owner's manual), it also shows when it's due, by miles, hours or months, whichever comes first, and can email you a reminder (turn it off in Settings or from any reminder email). The same email tells you when a registration, insurance or other card is about to run out. In the phone apps you can also turn on notifications. We don't guess intervals for you.
I did several jobs at once. Do I log each one?
No. Tap +, then Log service, and add every job done on that visit: one form with the date and mileage typed once. To fix the last time something was done, tap the item on the Overview and choose Edit last service.
My old records have no dates. Can I still save them?
Yes. On Log service, tick Don't know the date, or scan an old logbook page and save its visits as they are. Undated records stay in your history and exports, listed after the dated ones. Reminders count from dated services only, so add a date later if you find it.
Where do the parts suggestions come from?
From parts you've logged, part numbers other owners of the same vehicle logged, and store searches for your exact vehicle. Always check that a part fits before buying. Solid Miles may earn a commission from some store links, at no extra cost to you.
Can my family use it too?
Yes. On the vehicle, open the menu (…) and choose Share with family, then enter their email. They sign in with that email (free, their own account), accept the invite on their Garage, and can then see the history and log services, fill-ups and paperwork too. You can remove them, or they can leave, at any time; everything they logged stays on your vehicle.
What happens when I sell a vehicle?
Make a PDF of its service history for the buyer: Settings → Export or print records, pick the vehicle and PDF. Then open the vehicle's menu (…) and choose Remove from garage. It leaves your garage and reminders but keeps its whole history in Settings → Past vehicles.
How do I import records from a spreadsheet?
Go to Settings → Import records, choose the vehicle and pick an Excel or CSV file. Solid Miles guesses the columns (date, work, mileage, cost, shop…) and shows every visit for you to check before anything is saved.
How do I export my records?
Go to Settings → Export or print records and pick Excel or PDF, for one vehicle or all of them. Exports are always free.
How do I get extra scans?
Go to Settings → Invite friends and share your link. When a friend joins and logs their first service or fill-up, you both get 10 extra scans (for up to 5 friends a month). Extra scans never expire and are used after your monthly scans.
Can I buy more scans?
Yes, where it's offered: Settings → Scans, or Get more scans (when you run out, the app shows Get more scans). Packs of 25 scans ($2, in the phone apps) or 100 scans ($5) are one-time purchases, never a subscription. Extra scans never expire and are used after the month's scans run out. Bought in the iPhone or Android app? Apple or Google handles refunds (ask them from your purchase history). Bought on the web? Email us.
How do I delete a vehicle for good?
Two steps, so nothing is lost by a slip of the thumb: open the vehicle, tap … → Remove from garage, then go to Settings → Past vehicles and tap Delete forever. Its services, fill-ups, paperwork, To fix list and photos are erased (also for anyone it's shared with). Export a copy first if you might need it.
I deleted something by mistake.
Removing a service or fill-up, or removing a vehicle from your garage, shows an Undo button right away. A removed vehicle can be brought back anytime in Settings → Past vehicles. If you missed an Undo, email us and we can restore it.
A vehicle says "No longer shared with you".
The owner stopped sharing it (or you left it on another device). Its records stay on your phone so you can export a copy; you can then remove it from your phone.
